Join us Tuesday, December 6 at 7 p.m. CT for the next D&I Champions Network session, “Communication, Culture and Humanism in Oral Health.” This session aims to develop culturally competent oral health care personnel who can provide dental services to diverse populations including limited English proficient patients, through the provision of humanistic care that addresses issues of quality, access, linguistic barriers and adherence.
Learning Objectives:
- Define humanism, cultural competence and culturally effective healthcare.
- Discuss how patients and oral healthcare providers can have different perspectives, values and beliefs.
