Job Title: Dental Surgical Assistant / Oral Surgery Assistant Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and organized Dental Surgical Assistant to join our team. You will be responsible for providing high-level chair-side support to our oral surgeon, ensuring a sterile, efficient, and compassionate environment for patients during surgical procedures. Key Responsibilities: Chair-side Assistance: Actively assist in surgical procedures (implants, extractions, bone grafts) using surgical techniques. Patient Care: Greet, prepare, and monitor patients before, during, and after surgery, including taking vital signs. Sterilization & Setup: Sterilize and prepare surgical instruments, equipment, and operating rooms according to safety protocols. Radiography: Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays) and 3-D CBCT images. Post-Op Education: Educate patients on post-operative care and instructions. Inventory Management: Monitor surgical supplies and restock rooms. Preferred Qualifications-(Not Required) Active Dental Assistant (DA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification. Radiography certification. Proven experience as a surgical dental assistant or similar role. In-depth knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization methods, and infection control protocols. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with oral surgery software such as MacPractice. BLS/CPR certification |
