Job Overview: The Dental Assistant plays a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care while simultaneously supporting the dentist with a variety of procedures. A strong understanding of dental terminology, medical records, and the ability to work with various dental technologies is critical to success in this role. Responsibilities: Assist the dentist during a wide range of examinations and procedures, including restorative, preventive, and cosmetic treatments. Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms according to proper protocols. Ensure all required instruments and supplies are available. Maintain accurate medical records and patient charts, ensuring all information is up-to-date. Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft, Epic, or Dentrix for scheduling appointments and managing patient information. Perform tasks related to medical imaging and 3D scanning as required. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent care delivery. Commit to continuous learning and professional development in the field of dentistry. Qualifications: At least one year of dental assisting, required. Completion of a Dental Assisting course, preferred. Proficiency in using dental software (Eaglesoft, Epic, Dentrix), preferred. Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and 3D scanning technology, preferred. Orthodontic and/or Invisalign experience preferred.
