Responsibilities • Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal treatments for patients. • Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and documenting findings. • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits. • Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. • Maintain accurate patient records using OpenDental software, ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards. • Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff. • Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants in providing comprehensive patient care. • Stay updated on dental terminology and procedures to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
