**We are looking for Full Time/Part Time Hygienist(s) (day off can be flexible), who are eager to learn advanced skills in their area of expertise. Excellent communication, vibrant attitude, TEAM values, and organizational skills are required to provide the 5-star experience that we offer to our patients. **Must have a New York State License in Dental Hygiene** **Benefits discussed during interview. Job Description (includes but NOT limited to): 1. Performs preliminary charting of patient needs and medical/dental histories for subsequent evaluation by the doctor. 2. Performs Prophylaxis, scaling, root planning, polishes restorations, fluoride and sealant applications. 3. Reviews treatment recommendations with patients. 4. Maintains patients clinical notes in dental software (DENTRIX). 5. Takes and processes radiographs. 6. Manages patient hygiene regimen including recall care and follow up appointments. 7. Inventories supplies in the hygiene room, cleans hygiene room, sterilizes instruments and prepares hygiene room for patients. 8. Performs assisting and clerical duties during downtime. 9. Helps to keep schedule full and maintain a FULL schedule DAILY. 10. Reinforce patient hygiene and nutritional compliance, reinforce patient treatment needs. Education/Experience: 1. Graduate an accredited Dental Hygiene Program. 2. Licensed to practice in New York State. 3. Able to follow and apply established office policies and procedures. 4. Strong interpersonal skills. 5. Capable of working effectively with Doctors, staff and patients under varying conditions of pressure. 6. Strong computer skills. |
