We are seeing an uptick in calls about where will dentists be on the COVID 19 vaccine priority list and these will likely increase after the CDC vaccination committee meets tomorrow. Here is a link to what we know now on our website.

The situation is currently very fluid and even after the CDC comes out with their guidance, there will be many state specific decisions to be determined by individual Governors. We will inform you of developments and our actions as they occur. The reality of where things stand now is that current projections of initial vaccine supply would indicate there will not be sufficient supply to inoculate all ER and ICU personnel and nursing home personal if the vaccine is available in Dec.

NYSDA’s position is that dentists and dental office personnel should be listed in phase 1a and not phase 2 of essential workers.
