Session Description:

No one could have conceived of what the world has gone through over the last 15 months. As the COVID-19 saga continues to unfold, we need to incorporate what we have learned about our health care system and restructure the system to be able to deal with future events both globally and in our practices.

Learning Objectives:

At conclusion, participants will be cognizant of;

1.      Retrace the recognition of and response to SARS-CoV-2 in Monroe County

2.      Highlight the limitations in the epidemiology and surveillance methods in our response to COVID-19

3.      Recognize the present disparities in vaccination and the possible implications of this disparity

4.      Outline a future path of preparedness incorporating lessons we should be learning from COVID-19
